Discovery Center

We recently went to Discovery Center (a children's museum) in Springfield. Maddie loved playing on all the exhibits which included a water exhibit, a dinosaur dig, and operating play construction equipment in the toddler area. She also had fun building her own airplane and trying to make it fly.

Maddie loves playing dress up and one of her favorite things to dress up as is a princess.

Walk by the river

We took a short trip to the nearby Finley River and walked along the banks. Maddie had fun looking for fish and collecting shells. She also insisted on wearing her sunglasses "just like Daddy does"

Being silly

Playing in the sandbox--in March!

We got lucky this week in Missouri..we are having temps of 60-70 degrees. Though since next week doesn't look quite as nice, we decided to take advantage of it and head outside. Maddie is truly a warm weather kid..she hates being cold, hates wearing a coat, and loves being barefoot. Every time we come inside from being out somewhere, the shoes and socks are off in a flash. It was a little too cool to be barefoot outside today, but Maddie insisted on not wearing shoes in the sandbox, so I let her be barefoot for a little bit. After all there is no better feeling than sand on barefeet...even if the sand was very cold!
